Can I move my saved articles from Pocket or Instapaper?

Yes. Open Import in your account menu, pick the service and upload its export file. wallabag fetches each article again and keeps your tags and archive state where the export includes them.

How do I connect the phone apps?

In wallabag, open API clients management and create a client. In the Android or iPhone app, enter your app address, your username and password, and the client ID and secret it showed you.

Does it work on my e-reader?

KOReader has a wallabag plugin that downloads your unread articles to the device and marks them read when you finish. Other readers can use the EPUB export.

Can other people have accounts?

Yes. Add users yourself under Users management, or turn on public registration in the app's settings on CoreHost. Each person gets their own articles, tags and settings.

Does wallabag need an email server?

No. Email is only used for password resets, sign up confirmations and email based two factor codes. Add your provider under Email connection in the app's settings if you want those; port 25 is blocked, so use 465 or 587.

What if I lose the admin password?

Set a new one under Admin password in the app's settings on CoreHost. The app switches to it when it restarts, and your articles are not touched.

Who keeps wallabag updated?

We do. Curated updates roll out shortly after upstream releases and are tested on our platform first; security fixes move fast. If an update changes behaviour in a breaking way, we email you before it lands.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Take a final export or SFTP copy any time before you cancel. After termination we keep your data for 14 days (in case you change your mind), then purge it, backups included.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Point a CNAME at your instance, prove ownership with a TXT record, and TLS certificates are issued automatically. Cloudflare-proxied domains work; if you use CAA records, allow letsencrypt.org.
