Readeck saves a clean, permanent copy of any web page you send it, stripping the ads, popups and clutter so you are left with just the article. It is a read it later app in the spirit of Pocket and Instapaper, except the archive lives on your own instance, stays full text searchable, and does not disappear when a service changes its terms or shuts down.

Save from the browser extension, the bookmarklet, or your phone's share sheet, then organise with labels and collections and highlight the passages that matter. Because Readeck keeps the real content and images rather than a fragile link, your saved articles survive even when the original goes offline. It is a single lightweight Go app with an embedded database, so it stays fast and inexpensive to run, and we host it in the region you choose, with managed updates and nightly backups.

Use Readeck's own import

Use Readeck's own full export on the old instance and import it here. Passwords are not part of the export, so people reset them, and API tokens stop working.

  • Do it yourself. Deploy Readeck, let it start once, then use the steps on this page, with SFTP and the file manager in the Files tab. A backup taken first gives you a clean point to go back to.
  • Ask us to move it. Open a ticket from your control panel with the app and where it runs now. Support will tell you what can be moved and help you do it, and nobody touches your old app.
