Vaultwarden is a lightweight server that works with the official Bitwarden apps and browser extensions, so you keep the clients you know while the vault lives on a server only you control. Organisations for sharing logins, authenticator codes, secure notes, file attachments and emergency access are all included, with no per-seat price.
On CoreHost your vault runs on its own managed instance, hosted in Sydney, the US or Poland, with updates handled for you and daily backups. Encrypted backups are stored in the EU. Vault items are encrypted on your devices with a key derived from your master password before they reach the server, and your master password is never sent to it.
Your vault starts closed. Nobody can create an account on a new vault, and the admin page is switched off. You add your own email address in the app's settings, create your account, and registration stays shut unless you open it yourself.

Use Vaultwarden's own import
Use the vault's import tool, which accepts exports from most password managers and browsers. Export from your old manager, import here, then delete the export file.
Ways to move it
- Do it yourself. Deploy Vaultwarden, let it start once, then use the steps on this page, with SFTP and the file manager in the Files tab. A backup taken first gives you a clean point to go back to.
- Ask us to move it. Open a ticket from your control panel with the app and where it runs now. Support will tell you what can be moved and help you do it, and nobody touches your old app.
Coming from PikaPods? Switch on SFTP in the pod's settings, stop the pod and copy its files; PikaPods documents this as its manual backup for migrations.
