Who runs this
A small Australian company that hosts open-source apps for people who would rather own their tools than rent them.
The short versionWhy we built it
Pay SaaS subscriptions forever, or self-host and patch a VPS on your weekends. The middle path, good open-source software run for you in your own region, barely existed. In Australia it did not exist at all. So we built it.
CoreHost comes from the team behind an established Australian game-server host. Thousands of unattended workloads taught us the playbook: automate everything, back up everything, make restore easy enough that nobody asks permission.
PrinciplesWhat we believe
Own, don't rent
Open-source software you control beats a subscription you don't.
Residency is mechanical
Your app, its database and its backups stay in the region you chose. Backups included, or we don't claim it.
Leaving must be easy
SFTP access, standard exports, 14 days of data retention after cancellation. No exit process.
Boring transparency
Published flat prices, a public status page, honest comparisons. If a free tier is all you need, we say so.
Open source gets a cut
These apps make our business possible. We contribute back to their maintainers and publish how.
SupportHow support works
Support is the product here, so we are precise about it.
An AI engineer answers 24/7
It reads your instance's logs, diagnoses the problem and applies fixes with your confirmation.
Humans behind it
Engineers pick up escalations during Australian business hours.
The scope is published
The platform, plus app installation and configuration. Included in every plan.
The fine printPractical details
Try it on our credit
Every new account starts with $5 of credit, no card needed. That covers about two months of a Lite app.
