Kavita turns a folder of comics, manga, EPUBs and PDFs into a fast, good looking digital library. Point it at your files and it builds a browsable collection with cover art, series grouping and metadata, then serves an in browser reader that handles CBZ, CBR, EPUB, PDF and images with continuous scroll, double page spreads, right to left manga mode and remembered progress on every device.

It is built for a household or a small community. Each reader gets their own account, collections and reading lists, and Kavita follows a series to your next unread issue and tracks progress per person. It speaks OPDS too, so you can pull your library straight into an e-reader or a third party reading app and keep your place in sync across phone, tablet and laptop.

We host it on Australian infrastructure as a single lightweight app with an embedded database, so it stays quick and cheap to run, with managed updates and nightly backups. You upload your own files over SFTP and Kavita does the rest.
