HomeboxWhat you're getting
Homebox is an open source home inventory. You record what you own, where it is kept, what it cost, its model and serial numbers and its warranty date, and attach photos, manuals and receipts to each item. Items live in locations you can nest, from a room to a shelf to a box, and carry tags and custom fields.
Every item and location gets an asset ID and a printable QR code label: stick one on a storage box and scanning it with your phone shows what is inside. Homebox also keeps a maintenance log with reminders, looks products up by barcode, and exports your inventory for an insurance claim.
On CoreHost, Homebox runs on its own managed instance in Sydney or Poland. Sign in is always required: your instance starts with one owner account and a password generated for it, registration is closed, and the people you live with join through an invitation link you make in the app. We handle the server, TLS, updates and daily backups.

Ways to move it
- Do it yourself. Deploy Homebox, let it start once, then use the steps on this page, with SFTP and the file manager in the Files tab. A backup taken first gives you a clean point to go back to.
- Ask us to move it. Open a ticket from your control panel with the app and where it runs now. Support will tell you what can be moved and help you do it, and nobody touches your old app.
Coming from PikaPods? Switch on SFTP in the pod's settings, stop the pod and copy its files; PikaPods documents this as its manual backup for migrations.
