How do I create my account?

Open your instance URL and click Register to create the first account. That account is the owner, and there is no default login to guess. Registration is open at first so you can sign up, then you can turn it off in Settings so nobody else can create an account on your instance.

Can my team use it together?

Yes. You can share projects, assign tasks to people and comment, all on one instance at a single flat price rather than paying per member as hosted task tools do. Add each teammate their own account so assignments and notifications work per person.

Will my tasks sync to my phone and other apps?

Vikunja has polished native iOS and Android apps and a browser extension, and it exposes both a REST API and CalDAV, so tasks with due dates can show up in your calendar app too. Everything points at your own instance URL.
