ShlinkWhat you're getting
Shlink is an open source URL shortener you run on your own domain. Paste a long address and get a short one, choose your own slug if you like, add tags, set an expiry date or a visit limit, and see how many people clicked, when, from which country and on which device. Every link has a QR code, and there is a REST API for scripts and apps.
On CoreHost, Shlink comes with its official web client at your address, hosted in Sydney or Poland. We handle the server, TLS, updates and daily backups. The first time you open your address you add your server with the API key shown on your CoreHost page, and then you manage everything from the browser.
Your instance is private to you. Visitors can follow your short links, but nothing can be created, changed or read without your API key, which is generated for you. Because link shorteners are a favourite tool for phishing, the instance does not fetch the pages your links point to, limits how fast one address can create or follow links, and does not store visits to addresses that are not links.

- Do it yourself. Deploy Shlink, let it start once, then use the steps on this page, with SFTP and the file manager in the Files tab. A backup taken first gives you a clean point to go back to.
- Ask us to move it. Open a ticket from your control panel with the app and where it runs now. Support will tell you what can be moved and help you do it, and nobody touches your old app.
Coming from PikaPods? Switch on SFTP in the pod's settings, stop the pod and copy its files; PikaPods documents this as its manual backup for migrations.
