PocketBaseWhat you're getting
PocketBase gives your web or mobile app a complete backend in one program: a SQLite database with a REST style API, user accounts with email, OAuth2 and one time password login, file uploads, realtime subscriptions and an admin dashboard.
You model data as collections in the dashboard, write access rules per collection, and add server logic with JavaScript hooks and scheduled jobs in the pb_hooks folder. Static files in pb_public are served from the same address, so a single page app can live next to its API.
On CoreHost your superuser account is created from a generated password when you deploy, so the dashboard is never open to the first visitor. The database, uploads and hooks are included in the daily backups, and the official JavaScript and Dart SDKs connect to your app URL.
On CoreHost
- Database, auth, file storage and realtime in one app
- Admin dashboard at /_/ with a generated superuser, no open setup page
- JavaScript hooks and scheduled jobs you edit in the Files tab
- Official SDKs for JavaScript and Dart
- Runs on the Lite plan: SQLite needs no separate database server

Backups to your own S3
Add encrypted, incremental backups to your own S3-compatible storage on top of the daily ones we include.

Moving to CoreHostMove your existing PocketBase here
Already running PocketBase on PikaPods, a VPS or your own server? You can bring your data with you. Deploy the app here first, then follow the route below, and keep your old app until you are happy.
Use PocketBase's own import
Import your collection definitions under Settings, Import collections, upload a site into pb_public and hooks into pb_hooks over SFTP, or restore a PocketBase backup zip under Settings, Backups.
Ways to move it
- Do it yourself. Deploy PocketBase, let it start once, then use the steps on this page, with SFTP and the file manager in the Files tab. A backup taken first gives you a clean point to go back to.
- Ask us to move it. Open a ticket from your control panel with the app and where it runs now. Support will tell you what can be moved and help you do it, and nobody touches your old app.
Coming from PikaPods? Switch on SFTP in the pod's settings, stop the pod and copy its files; PikaPods documents this as its manual backup for migrations.
