Does the hub monitor my servers on its own?

No. The hub is the dashboard and database. To watch a machine you add it as a System and install the small Beszel agent on it, which connects back to the hub. Metrics appear within a minute of the agent connecting, so install the agent on every server you want to see.

What can Beszel alert me about?

You can set alerts for high CPU or memory, low disk, a system going offline, temperature thresholds, and more, delivered by email, a webhook, or push services. Alert rules live on the hub, so they keep working while you are away.

Is my monitoring data private and backed up?

Yes. Everything lives in your own instance's database in the Australian region, not a shared cloud, and we handle daily backups, managed updates, and TLS for you.
